In older days, the body odour was more socially accepted but in todays society we try to hide it. Sometimes you can have a feeling that your body has an unpleasant odor from profuse sweating, while others will not notice anything.Hyperhydrosis (profuse sweating) symptoms
When looking for symptoms of hyperhidrosis, it is important to consider the possibility that the profuse sweating could have secondary causes - i.e. it could be caused by another disease. See under causes of hyperhidrosis for possible other diseases and their symptoms. If the hyperhydrosis is caused by another disease, it is called secondary. If the hyperhidrosis is not caused by other diseases, the excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) is called primary hyperhidrosis. Sweaty palms is probably the most common of the hyperhidrosis symptoms and this is due to the fact that the major part of our 5 million sweat glands in the body are located in the palms. If a patient has excessive perspiration disorder, it will likely affect the hands (sweaty hands) first and most. |
