If the hyperhidrosis is not caused by other diseases, the excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) is called primary hyperhidrosis.

Sweaty palms is probably the most common of the hyperhidrosis symptoms and this is due to the fact that the major part of our 5 million sweat glands in the body are located in the palms. If a patient has excessive perspiration disorder, it will likely affect the hands (sweaty hands) first and most.
